All courses taken during the summer term at Berkeley and during the fall semester abroad are offered for UC Berkeley credit and will appear on your transcript as Berkeley courses with letter grades. Courses count toward College of Letters & Science, Rausser College of Natural Resources, College of Computing, Data Science, and Society, and Haas Spieker Undergraduate Business Program requirements, and participation in Global Edge fulfills the International Studies breadth requirement(link is external).

Students would be eligible for alternative summer or fall course placements only if they have completed equivalent college-level coursework, for example at a community college.
